Introducing the latest Seminar and Manual in our ATG “Network Diagnostics” series!

Introducing the latest Seminar and Manual in our ATG “Network Diagnostics” series!

Whether you are experiencing a no-communication fault, U-Codes, or systems that are not operating properly, you need a flexible diagnostic plan that can adapt to the nature of the fault and the available tools.

Therefore, that is how we built this all-new Vehicle Network Diagnostic Strategies training manual and seminar. Like all ATG products, this one tackles the ‘High Level Indicators’ first to quickly eliminate the most possible causes. This allows you to define the type of fault, determine the network configuration and expected test values to create the best diagnostic plan for the likely causes that remain. Only then do we cover specific network topology, known-good values, and specific Scan Tool and circuit test options, so you get the details precisely when you need them.

This seminar and manual were researched in the shop from actual network opens, shorts, Scan Tool faults and module faults, as well as a number of unexpected system and component interactions.

Specific topics include:

  • High level Indicator tables for communication faults, network codes, and symptoms
  • Isolating communication faults the easy way
  • Identifying Protocols & Gateways
  • Finding the easiest access points
  • Network isolation, bypass, and other techniques
  • Lab Scope & Scan Tool examples
  • Controller Area Networks (CAN) & LIN
  • High speed MOST & FlexRay protocols
  • Manufacturer-specific protocols such as ISO 9141, KWP, SCI, SCP, Class 2, BEAN, AVC-LAN, & more

Published network fault flow charts take hours to complete, and generally only find hard circuit faults. This seminar solves that problem, using numerous case studies to demonstrate our practical, repeatable diagnostic strategies and best practices that will work for passenger vehicles, MD/HD trucks, Domestic, Asian or European, gas or diesel – anything with a network!

In addition to competitive pricing and a knowledgeable staff, our Service Department is second-to-none when it comes to vehicle troubleshooting and repair. When I first started out as a technician, I was determined to identify with our customers, making sure every effort was made on my part to maintain the integrity of Bison Fleet Specialists workmanship, and establish a long-term "care" relationship with each person who passed through our service center. A personal goal of mine was to inform each customer of some basic maintenance steps they could perform to keep their RVs, Trucks, Trailers, Buses, Campers & Cars running at optimum performance levels, achieved by following a few simple guidelines. We have been serving our customers for more than 20 years. Our technicians are light and heavy duty vehicle certified inspectors. Also ASE, and NYS Department of Motor Vehicles Automotive Technical Training Program Certified. We also perform DOT/Hyrail/Crane inspections. In any service business today, time is money! When a vehicle breaks down, it is very important to have it up and running ASAP. Having all of the repairs done at one location can help that process. Bison has the knowledge, capacity and technology in its facility to accomplish this task, so "Peace of Mind" can be yours.
