Alignments

Due to recent changes in the industry it may take up to 5 days from drop off to get your vehicle in for service.

While driving, your vehicle’s front wheels may turn slightly in different directions as you go around corners. This is called “camber,” and it’s necessary in order to maintain a straight line in curves.

However, if your front end is misaligned, this can cause problems with handling and tire wear. It may be time for an alignment if you notice any difference in how your tires wear or how your car handles after driving on new roads or potholed roads.

This is why you need vehicle alignment services. Vehicle alignments are typically done to improve handling and ensure that your tires wear evenly. This can range from simple adjustments to more extensive work.

Alignments are the angles of the wheels relative to each other, and they can be adjusted to make your vehicle drive more smoothly.

What happens during an alignment service?

Alignment issues can be caused by a variety of factors, including driving habits, potholes, curb strikes, and more. An alignment is an adjustment of the front wheels so that they are parallel with each other and perpendicular to the ground. The wheel alignment angles are measured in degrees from 0 degrees for perfectly straight ahead and 90 degrees for perfectly perpendicular (perpendicular to the ground). This means that if one wheel is closer to the vehicle’s centerline than another wheel, the car may not drive straight down the road even though both wheels are pointing in the same direction.

To fix this problem, you need to have an alignment performed on your vehicle’s front end so that all four wheels are pointing straight ahead and perpendicular to the ground once again. Otherwise known as having your tires aligned at a certified service center, like Bison Tire and Fleet Specialists.

The process begins with an inspection of your vehicle’s steering system and suspension components such as tie rods, ball joints, or strut mounts, if applicable.
